TL;DR "don't care, just show me":
Intro
When I was a child, my family took me to this fair where they had pottery lessons. I have worked with clay before at school, but this was different. The soft feeling of matter taking shape right within your own hands, it is both soothing and empowering.
Fast forward many years, my lovely girlfriend at the time (not girlfriend anymore but still lovely) bought us canvases to paint on. We knew absolutely nothing about this kind of art, but after I showed her some Bob Ross classics she did not waste time because she knew what she wanted us to do, and so I played us a nice Bob Ross video. Again, the results were astounding compared to our skill level as there was essentially no entry barrier, and such a steep learning curve.
What is Digital Pottery?
It is a mix of old and novel art forms, and it is also how I call my new product. Inspired by pottery, and by Bob Ross of course, who showed us all that even simple things can be most beautiful.
Just like the pottery wheel and the paint brushes are tools, ones that allow you to take something abstract and make it beautiful, and with incredible ease compared to sculpting by hand or by using a pencil, that is exactly what my tool strives to be.
Why should you learn this skill?
Now before you go quitting your job or pivoting your indie business in hopes of embarking a new career path, think about this:
Art is a tool. It is well understood that when you create art, of any form, your brain will rewire and these skills will be applied to many aspects of your life even from beyond art itself. It has been some crazy times lately around the world, and you may consider this your meditation.
Demo
Thank you for whoever read my intro. I have uploaded a demo to YouTube, and I feel underprepared for sharing this publicly, but I feel I should share my idea with the world, get some feedback, iterate and improve.
AND FINALLY --
for my select few subscribers, you may test it right now, for free! BUT don't expect a fancy landing page. It's going straight to business for now ;)
